Sorry But…Photos Taken With Jeffrey Epstein Don’t Actually Matter

I’ve been meaning to write this for a couple weeks now, well… far longer than that actually because I’ve grown tired of witnessing the delight people seem to find in pointing out who has been photographed with Jeffrey Epstein over the years. With the carefully redacted release of more of the Epstein files today, I now feel I need to say the thing that no one else seems to be willing to say.

Being photographed with Jeffrey Epstein is not proof of any wrongdoing unless the photo actually captures a crime. Sorry, not sorry! Please join me down on earth where reality is much less exciting…

Since the release of the flight logs to Epstein’s Island, people have been clamoring to accuse this left wing celebrity or that right wing politician of being involved in Epstein’s debauchery. I believe many of the accusations come from a place of wanting to prove that the other side is where all the criminals reside. I hate to break it to people but political affiliation has little to do with whether someone is a pedophile or not. And again, visiting Epstein’s island does not inherently mean that one has committed a crime. There has to be actual proof and investigations if we’re going to get to the truth.

Unfortunately, the files that were released today were comically redacted… I mean technically they released the files… you just can’t read or see anything of importance! Only what they carefully selected for the masses to see… anyway…

I also carry these same frustrations with people over the Diddy documentary recently released on Netflix. The documentary paints a disturbing picture of who Sean “Diddy” Combs, formerly known as Puff Daddy or P. Diddy or Diddlydoer, was, is, and possibly always has been. As manipulative and lubed up as he was over the years, the documentary didn’t prove anything, it did however open up the possibility for others to come forward and speak out. At the end of the day, there still needs to be proof in order to bring a case against these people who may have been involved in alleged crimes. Yes, many famous celebrities, rappers and artists attended Diddy’s parties, but that doesn’t mean they participated in or even witnessed any crimes.

We have to accept the reality that we need more than just photos or videos of people smiling alongside convicted criminals in order to even begin to accuse them. Maybe these people showed up to these parties knowing damn well what was going to happen, maybe they didn’t, there has to be proof. Sorry to put a damper on the mood but we need to be demanding a full investigation, not just cherry picked photos thrown at us so we can fight over which political party is the most guilty. Please join me in reality. I implore you.
