Community Spotlight
April Hicks – Char-cu Who? Boards and Bites
What started as a homemade charcuterie board for her son’s birthday quickly grew into a passion and eventually a thriving small business. Inspired to create beautifully crafted charcuterie boards and lunch boxes, April launched Char-cu Who? Boards and Bites in late 2024. The response was immediate, with holiday orders pouring in through word of mouth for family gatherings, workplace events, and special occasions.
After losing her home in the Eaton Fire in January 2025, April stepped away from her business for several months. That spring, she started making boards again and hasn’t stopped since. Today, she’s expanded her business with a mobile charcuterie cart, bringing her creations directly to parties, events, and celebrations.
April’s story is a wonderful reminder that even after life’s setbacks, it’s possible to keep pursuing what you love. I find her story truly inspirational. Be sure to follow the link below to visit her Instagram and learn more about Char-cu Who? Boards and Bites.
